Hi Andrea, There should be a step in the workflow of any item which is critical such as a surgical guide to ensure the fit is correct. Shrinkage will depend on the size of a part, small parts will have far less […]

With the head off can you feed forward? You could also unscrew the bowden from the extruder in the left side of the build chamber.
In your case if the filament wont move at all, you probably need to remove the extruder and disassemble it POWER OFF AND REMOVE USB!!!:
It might be a bulge in your filament from when it was made, this is a concern as…[Read more]

Stretched, kinked or otherwise imperfect Bowden tubes will restrict movement far more than you might expect too. Worth checking.
Reels can sometimes be hard to turn or filament can be wound in a way that tightens as it pulls off. Obviously check for knots. Unwinding a little filament from the reel is an easy test, if it still skips without…[Read more]

Pete replied to the topic Pause on layer in the forum Feature Request 5 days, 18 hours ago
A plugin would need to be written to specifically catch and alter any code which is not compatible with Robox. Just doing this for stock Cura is a big undertaking so adding other code into it could either confuse the post-processor or be missed and lead to unexpected results.
Adding a pause manually is not too hard.

When you press Make! in AutoMaker an .stl file is generated from the layout on your bed and sent to the slicing engine, currently CuraEngine.
The code from CuraEngine is fed back into AutoMakers Post processor where all the useless bits like retracts are removed and replaced with nozzle closes. A lot more goes on but you get the idea.
The…[Read more] -

The print profiles for various heads are available in the Library in AM but you can also see them here as text files.
C:Program FilesCELCommonPrintProfilesFine#RBX01-DM.roboxprofile
It looks like the default DM ejection volume for Fine is 0.3 which is surprising for a 0.4mm nozzle as it is the same as the 0.3mm nozzle. It might just have been…[Read more]

I expect we only tested a small range around the defaults (0.3mm³ for the 0.3mm nozzle) for ejection volume as it is a physical volume which is known. Variations from pressure should be and are dealt with in other ways.

It seems the Y home is off. Y home is found automatically, the bed moves to the back of the printer until a switch is triggered, the stepper motors rotation is counted up from this point so it can tell where it is, if the power is turned off the printer will do this again.
The switch is very delicate to allow for a precise point to be found it is…[Read more]

The profiles will appear in the next update.
When you clip a SmartReel to Robox connected to AutoMaker it will automatically add the profile to your library if it is missing.

@nebbian I think this might be a function which is trying to deposit excess from the ejection volume. This might happen if a nozzle close is required but cannot be achieved normally.
eg in a small island or tower because the volume of the layer exceeds the nozzles ejection volume.
If i recall correctly the best option is to close in some fill or…[Read more]

nice one nebbian
@kamil1 The filament profile has a setting called Flow Rate which is to account for squish in the filament.
Older Robox ABS has a flow rate of 0.95
TitanX has a flow rate of 0.89
You may be able to adjust the Flow Rate to remove the excess at the start of the print but you should carefully examine other areas of the print…[Read more]
