very worthy.
I would suggest making the wings and perhaps the antennae as separate parts and inserting them after.
This way you could print them flat to the bed at high speed and add more detail to make them look finer. You could also use a different filament colour or perhaps even a flexible filament.
You could make clip on stripes, eyes and stingers!

@silvan2468 the multiplier which Mike highlighted in his screenshot is correct.
Below are the translations I see, is there a better description?
English / Deutsch
Filament Ø / filament Ø
Flow rate / filament-multiplikator
Feed Rate multiplier / vorschub-multiplikatorFilament Ø = Filament Diameter, this should be a careful measurement of th…[Read more]

@robwlakes some items are not sold publicly because we don’t want people accidentally breaking things during installation. With the advice of the support team we can provide a much bigger range of parts. The link for support is in my forum signature.

Shrinkage is hard to predict in 3D printing. A dense mass of material will shrink more agressively than a thin wall or protrusion, keeping all the parts of your design a similar density will help.
With ABS:
Keep the door closed and the ambient temperature high.
Keep the print surface clean, ABS will leave some residue. After a few hundred…[Read more] -
Pete replied to the topic 3.01.01 Serial Number Restore in the forum AutoMaker 3.01.XX + Root bug reporting 2 weeks, 1 day ago
@chrraj00 you can resolve this very easily by contacting support and providing your serial number. There was an invisible issue around serial numbers which has been resolved in the new software. Sorry for the inconvienience, it should only happen once. Link to support is in my forum signature.

Pete replied to the topic Polar White ABS Filament - brand new box slips, claims can't load (cut end) in the forum Chatter 2 weeks, 2 days ago
If it is only behaving that way with the one reel then it may be a filament size issue.
Do you have some callipers to measure the diameter? Please check 2 cross sections (measure then rotate 90° to measure again) at 1metre intervals for about 5metres.
It should be within ±0.05mm of 1.75mm but even a little outside this should feed ok.

Pete replied to the topic Previewing Robox gcode in the forum Software 2 weeks, 3 days ago
This is not currently planned but we are working on a big update so it might be possible. Forum users Click and Nebbian have created several tools for working within and around AutoMaker I’m sure they will have some ideas about this.

Pete replied to the topic Automaker flashes icon and then disappears in the forum Software 2 weeks, 5 days ago
Typically it is a broken project, Deleting or Renaming the Document/CEL Robox/Projects folder can get it started in many cases.
A clean install will also get rid of a lot of startup problems.

Pete replied to the topic 3.01.01 locking up. in the forum AutoMaker 3.01.XX + Root bug reporting 2 weeks, 5 days ago
SD card errors will give strange behaviour. Missing/corrupt data. Similar to a failing hard drive in a computer.
Root not being found might be an error in the upgrade, we have fixed some problems with this. Make a ticket if you get stuck.

Pete replied to the topic First Print with Nylon in the forum Materials 2 weeks, 5 days ago
If the bottom of a Nylon print is a little brown it is most likely the resin from the ThermoSurface peeling off. I print a lot of Nylon and have barely any resin left on the build plate. It still works great 🙂
Try shiny side for nylon or use some inferior system such as tape to protect the build plate, Nylon adhesion is extremely high and it…[Read more]

Pete replied to the topic Allow G-Code entry while paused in the forum Feature Request 2 weeks, 5 days ago
you can use the buttons in automaker to drive all the motors. when you resume the printer will return to the place where it left off.
I am not sure if movements entered in the gcode entry box would still allow this but it is a reasonable request. ill put it on the list.

Pete replied to the topic New Cura feature "ironing" in the forum Feature Request 4 weeks, 1 day ago
@fprint we are working on new features, ironing might be on of them. Priority will be given to support generation and dual material specific features but it is likely that there will be a lot more once we get the major stuff in place. Speed and quality first.

Pete replied to the topic Increasing print speed in the forum Technical Support 1 month ago
Yeah just crank it up with TitanX, if you notice lack of extrusion or distortions around corners bring it back a bit. 160% is totally fine with TitanX in my experience.
When the difference in an eight hour print is a few hours it is worth a few flaws 🙂

Pete replied to the topic Increasing print speed in the forum Technical Support 1 month ago
If you increase speed you start to push the extruder to the edge and the heater needs to keep up.
For most materials this is fine but some are hard to feed or require more heat energy to turn to liquid in the time available as it passes through the hot parts of the head and nozzle.
The motion systems have acceleration/acceleration which copes…[Read more]
