I don’t think Mike and certainly I needed @bhudson nor @leecel to defend their work. Nobody said that they are not doing good job and their advice is intrinsically bad. I mentioned my experience only to counter perceived claims (from first couple of posts) of @bhudson that support is infallible. We are all human and it is OK for some mistakes to…[Read more]

I’m with @17bt with this one. These 3 posts of his here are really well balanced and measured and by no means directed against CEL. On contrary - I can see them as really positive criticism - almost like advice. After all, we all (Robox customers) would like to see CEL thriving and as wide adoption as possible as it would benefit us as well. It is…[Read more]

@bhudson Obviously your comprehension of the content of my post is somewhat different to mine, and I really don’t think I can put it any clearer, but I am not being deliberately obtuse. 😉
If you were provided with steps you felt you didn’t need to complete you should have brought that up on the ticket as the advice provided on a support ticket i…[Read more]

@bhudson I’d rather not see posts like that to be honest, and plainly these folks are disgruntled, but re your assertion that Support Tickets take precedence over the Forum, as the best possible source, that’s a little disingenuous, because that is not always the case. It is a two way street. 🙂
I personally have been given Support Advice on a…[Read more]

LMAO @bhudson in a friendly way, OR better still access these through the AutoMaker interface.
Just another 2¢, or futile feature request. 😉

Just a little one really, but is there any chance future revisions might do something about this.
If you add layouts to Automaker, they fill the top bar aka header with Models with an “Untitled+default time stamp” name. Unfortunately, if you fill this header up, the other right hand menu icons for Library, Preferences,Version and Info interfere…[Read more]

@bhudson I have problems with Robox PLA from new. Other PLA I’ve used is ok.

@bhudson @pete Thanks for your help.
With everything disconnected the extruder wouldn’t feed so I’ve already taken it to bits and cleaned out. The filament was bulging and full of worn off bits. I think the new plastic insert probably makes this worse.
Always seem to have problems with Robox PLA clogging and misbehaving. I’ve switched to totally…[Read more]

Thanks @bhudson I can some floss through the extruder and it seems to have done the trick (for now).

That’s so funny @bhudson, and I even searched for an answer, as well as holding down other keys and clicking too. Cheers. LMAO

Thank you, @bhudson and @pete for your reply and advise!
I have tried both suggestions, and it’s now working fine.
The issue could have been a combination of the head not screwed tight enough, and a slightly loose spring, and maybe also some old filament residue that was stuck to the nozzle (I saw this when I removed the Head, which may have…[Read more]

Thanks all for replaying. It is amazing how community of the Robox is great!
@bhudson - I have just opened a new one from Robox and I have exactly the same results. However, I will dry them to check it as well.
@nebbian - I do brim as well however it can be problematic if your model becoming more complicated. It is difficult to remove brim from…[Read more]

@bhudson I don’t think I have bent the Z screw, as this is freely fixed at the bottom, and there is no top location, so it’ll pivot from the bottom, and the Z screw is more flexible than the Z rail for the linear bearings that is well located. Too much strain in this area is more likely to pop the cylindrical locator and peg in the Z screw to Z…[Read more]

@bhudson Thanks Ben, I thought it was the wrong way round, and you’ve confirmed it. As the DM upgrade was done by CEL, it was not my mistake. I did get the head to return to the normal position by manually rotating the LH & RH Z screws together (once I freed the nut jam on the LH carriage assembly), plus I did notice the Z limit was triggered i…[Read more]

@bhudson
well: now you know.
CEL banned me on the forum.
Only direct messages to other people still work (which is kind of strange)
No real explanation given, support doesn’t know for sure why, nothing is corrected. This is what your beloved CEL is doing …

so you as well choose to ignore that CEL is banning people for no valid reason and refuse to correct their mistakes made to customers.
I’m very disappointed. - Load More

CEL doesn’t do things for no reason. I am sure there is a reason, but I am not involved and have no say in it. I have asked that several users be banned for direct attacks against other users on the forum and for abusive behavior and they have declined to do so. If you are in fact banned, there is a reason for it. Just don’t ask me as I am not involved.
