really happy with this owl print apart from some minor burn marks. done using fine settings 40 % infil and with a honeycomb infill with abs.
nice large brim and you can see barely any edge rising .not the best pics but you get the idea..

@streatsi Very nice! I have noticed that Cura does better than Slic3r on several things. I will have to try more parts like that when I get a chance.

what caused these burn marks ?

    Indeed promising.

@pelgrim 1.01.00_RC3 is its official name.
no idea re the burn marks as literally just in a couple of places on the face. wonder if its to do with the material getting thin there and so a bit too hot for the filament but then again it didn’t happen on the ears where it is also really thin.
very promising indeed. have printed quite a bit of stuff since having the new AM and been very happy. only problems i have had are more due to a slight warp in my pei sheet and so in some specific areas teh first layer doesn’t stick as it isn’t squashed enough but the filament sticks to the rest of the pei sheet so much better, i haven’t even bothered cleaning it for a while and still no issue.

It looks rubbish without the blobs. That’s what made the old Automaker so unique, all those ‘extra’ tactile bits.

That and the random stringy, goopy stuff.

    I’ll think I’ll miss AM 1.00.17….

In all seriousness. Can you try a thin walled item please, it needn’t be high, just a box frame with a 1.5mm wall 5mm high. I’m dying to see if it produces better walls and infills instead of the old layer and gappy approach of slicer.

My Robox is a Blue Commercial Version

the new am is very good ,a couple of bugs that can make it freeze ,but print quality is very good using cura has solved a lot of the blobbing issues

ha just been printing an eliptical vase..
1.5mm wall thickness, its a solid model so selected 0 top infill 5 base solid layers and 2 perimeters using draft, has come out very well. no blobbing on teh outside, but quite a bit of stringing and blobbing inside. i would have thought it would have been just a circular pattern all the way but it did seem to do a fair bit of filling as well with some strange movements so again down to how cura deals with it and then the robox code i guess.. but very happy with it. will upload some pics later once they have sincd with my dropbox

How do you get the latest Automaker version? When I open Automaker it tells me that I am using the latest version but that is 1.00.17

paulsroom, you missed this, but don’t worry about it, the testers seem to be doing a nice job and soon we
    can all enjoy it.

@streatsi looks great! If you wish to decrease the stringing/blobbing you might want to try just 1 perimeter with the big nozzle (you can set it up to 1.2mm width in the custom profile!) and 0.90 multiplier to prevent over-extrusion :)
