    Hi,

today I tried to print a tongue for a dino of my little daughter.
But as you can see there are gaps in the print.
I printed in normal mode, 10% infill, orange PLA (original from Robox)

If I examin the gcode everything looks well, no gaps in the print path.

The printjob folder I attached as zip.

    Thanks for any help!

I got the same gaps at the highest part of this elephant’s body:

probably because I think I was only using infill of 3% instead of the default 20% for Draft…was saving filament but legs and head where articulated nicely after some cleanup. Maybe increase infill percentage???

Manifesting ideas is still difficult, but at least we're one step closer...

Try increasing the number of perimeters an increase the solid top perimeter no.

    Hi,

    thanks to all.
I increased percentage of infill. I tried with 40% and the print is clean now without any gaps. I think I will also print some test with lower infill that I can see at which percentage of infill these gaps will appear again.

For now I am happy, thanks!

    Hi,

just to let you know. Today I did two more tests. One with normal mode, 40% infill, honeycomb. The 2nd one I did in fine mode, 20% infill, honeycomp.
Both printed well without any gaps.

The result is great and you can see it here:

Woot! The precision looks great on Fine. I was gonna wait for AM 1.01 Cura before trying out more complicated prints but this encourages me to try out some more complex models with honeycomb infill. I can always use them to compare against the Cura version. Thanks for sharing.
