Hello!
I just got my robox and i first tested with the pyramid model and it prints fine for 30mins then it got all messy. Now i have this problem with abs not sticking to the bed. I was wondering if anyone have 3d model with precise printing settings that prints out best so i can compare. I think my printer is broken or there is some calibration that needs to be made. Can anyone help me pls ?
Thank you!
Sorry for my poor English14/10/2014 at 8:25 pm #7917If you’ve not done so, it’s always recommended to calibrate the nozzles and then the nozzle height calibration (taking the plastic bed sheet off so it can touch the firmer metal bed). Both of these options can be accessed via the advanced menu on the status display (click the three grey dots). That might help.
14/10/2014 at 8:26 pm #7918Hi @truikki, if you haven’t already you’ll need to run the nozzle opening calibration and nozzle height calibrations that can be found in the maintenance tab . . . just follow the on-screen instructions.

2. Clean the bed with supplied wipes/isopropyl alcohol.
3. If the objects you print have a small footprint, add brim perimeters.
4. Happy printing.- This reply was modified 2 months, 2 weeks ago by Adrenaline.

Sorry for my poor English15/10/2014 at 9:27 am #7935its seems that the filament is stuck somehow. wont come out of the nozzles. What can i do ?
Sorry for my poor English15/10/2014 at 12:20 pm #7939I had a similar problem.
Back your filament all the way out, cut off a few inches leaving a 45* angle on the end and feed it back in.
Do a purge from the advanced menu.
Mine came out like caramel then turned crystal white again.
Failing that you might need to do a manual purge if the auto one doesn’t do the trick.
15/10/2014 at 1:07 pm #7940Now both nozzles work and nozzle open calibration is done but when i try to calibrate nozzle height it starts and runs for some time and then suddenly dont recognize the printer anymore until i replug the usb cable. Anyone knows why this happens and is there any way to fix it ?
Sorry for my poor English15/10/2014 at 4:03 pm #7942@truikki Its probably worth powering off, removing and re-attaching the head to check its on properly. If that doesn’t work, try uninstalling AM, removing all folders left on the pc and re-install.
Failing that, it sounds like a support ticket is needed.
15/10/2014 at 10:27 pm #7957It seems that the problem to the lost of connection to robox via usb is that robox is very sensitive to power peaks in house. I noticed this when i turned off/on bathroom light and hear the plug sound of usb (i tested this multiple times) Calibration is done and this is my first succes 3d print. You can see that bend corner. I think it has something to do with abs properties in different temperatures. And one question is it proper way to improve grip on the bed with hairspray? Will it smell or produce some gasses inside the box and explode

15/10/2014 at 10:50 pm #7960@ Truikki i certainly wouldnt Try hair spray. First thing to try would be turning on the brim setting. I have had one corner coming up like this on a lot of abs prints but the brim helps also try positioning the part somewhere else on the bed and see if that has any effect. Make sure you clean the bed before every print with the wipes or get some isopropyl alcohol. Glad to hear u found what was causing the usb problem
