Thank you @pete. It is always good to have a bit of an explanation, rather than simply to be told there aren’t any.

It would help to understand why there is a shortage worldwide, and why CEL cannot say when new stock will be available. Is it that the Robox is in such demand that all stock is being purchased as soon as it is made? Or, is it a manufacturing timetabling/supply issue that should not be so?

OMG @Pelgrim…is this all you do? IMHO, your recent posts read like somebody looking for a fight with CEL because you are fed up, and frankly it is boring and spoils my enjoyment of the community/posts.

Don’t give up so easily…this is a great 3D Printer and it WILL work brilliantly for you. Fortunately for my wallet, I have no adhesion problems whatsoever on the Robox with the stock build surface, without any additions.

Apologies, I must have misread your original post re increasing your Robox numbers. I am, nonetheless, interested in paying cash for it, but I am a little worried by the seemingly low price being asked for it. Further, I already have Buildtak, and a Modifi3D, the former is excellent while the latter leaves a lot to be desired!

I am interested in the UP Box. Since you are also looking to increase your Robox, is there any way we can do a deal with your Up Box and my three month old dual materials Robox?

@BHudson, I will give that a try when I return home. I am extremely reluctant to raise a support ticket because I do not want to have to return the printer and I have therefore just been putting up with it.

I did not write the new profile to the reel - I just keep removing the filament, powering everything down, starting again, and doing this until the SmartReel is recognised. No, there is no wobble in either filament reel.

@stevef, I confirm I have the exact same problem. I have a new (6 weeks or so) dual material Robox, and more often than not the new SmartReel is not recognised in Automaker and I cannot therefore conduct a purge even though it is replacing a SmartReel and I use nothing but Robox filament.
