What's THIS sound?

Hello,

so far my printer was behaving very nicely, silently, but then I started having this sound while moving at specific angles at a specific place.

What’s this sound? It’s loud enough to be heard by my neighbors a floor below.

@murloc992 That is the resonance of the Robox. At certain speeds and combination of stepper speeds, the Robox resonates and creates that sound. All Robox printers do it to some degree.

@bhudson Is there a way to reduce it? 🙂 So far I put the Robox on two 5mm vibration absorbing mats and it decreased overall sound by 30%.

@murloc992 There are several ways to reduce it, but all of them void your warranty coverage. I suspect that the anti-vibration mat reduced the resonance that was being caused in your furniture by the Robox.

@bhudson as I doubt I have any warranty coverage anymore, could you guide me (somehow) the steps how to make it? 🙂 I live with a neighbor downstairs that is very sensitive to any “shitty” sounds and solving this would help me a lot. 🙂
