My Robox is a Blue Commercial Version

My partner wanted a Personal Locator Beacon holder for our boat.

Usually this thing is rolling around inside a locker, which isn’t ideal in an emergency!

This was printed without supports in the Woody Beech PLA filament. Came out exceptionally well.

Theres a very slim gap in the back of the model into which the information card fits in snugly.

I was very happy with this print :)

Looks great. I was just looking at the Woody Beech filament the other day; it’s nice to see a sample print.

Not to nit-pick, but having been in the SAR business for 40 years, shouldn’t you REALLY have a marine rated EPIRB on your boat?

The main difference is the battery longevity, and as such, how far you are from potential rescue.

For a boat mainly doing coastal trips, a 406 PLB should be sufficient and better than nothing.

My in law family is very keen on sailing. My father in law is very generous to the local cost guard, they have rescued his son, my brother in law, over 5 times for various reasons.

Nice design and print. Would love to see a pic of it mounted on the boat.
