Yes, I have had print head problems. I am on my third head and I think it is screwed too, after only an hour or printing. I guess Robox is working on a better print head and they have had some problems that can be blamed on the China Factor but it seems to me like the machine is a bit too touchy for the real world. PLus, it galls me how a print…[Read more]

Kent Hartland replied to the topic Quick help (hopefully) sought - filament not being pulled on initial insertion in the forum Chatter 2 months, 2 weeks ago
The pink was probably from a mouse getting inside your machine and trapped in the extruder. Its blood and guts obviously mixed with the white filament. It happens a LOT. Try placing pieces of cheese around your printer to distract the little buggers from going inside. Alternatively, place a saucer of whiskey beside the machine with the hope they…[Read more]

Kent Hartland replied to the topic How do you get NinjaFlex to feed? in the forum Chatter 3 months ago
Thank you guys, that gives me things to try. Here are two suggestions for future machines that I think might make it easy to feed any filament. See what you think, just for fun.
1. Larger diameter drive gears would grab the filament better since they are taking the end of the filament on at a lower angle. Just like a bicycle has a hard time…[Read more]

I have the alleged Flex Filament extruder (the gray one) and I am using the small plastic tube in the filament intake port, as I did with SemiFlex, which worked well. The filament sensor sees the =NinjaFlex and the extruder starts but it does not pull the filament in, no matter how I shake and dance.
So, what’s the trick guys? CEL won’t tell me.…[Read more]

I have built several websites, the first with GoDaddy (never again) and the rest with Web.com. It is real easy, quick and powerful. My DamnSolidDesign.com costs a little over $20 a month. I can build a multi page site and have it up and running with email and Paypal/CC in about 8 hours. Much quicker if you just use their templates. And no, I am…[Read more]

No, this does not involve a gun or a hammer.
I happen to have a big box full of mouse pads. I stacked two stacks of them three high and set the printer on them so that the weight of the printer rested entirely on the mouse pads and not on its own feet. I left the two stacks of mouse pads about four inches (1 CM) apart so air could get through to…[Read more]

Kent Hartland replied to the topic Circuit board production, conductive inkt in the forum Feature Request 3 months, 1 week ago
http://www.graphene3Dlab.com makes a very conductive Graphene filament. It is so conductive you can electroplate it (like for gold-plated jewelry, etc.). It should work well for PCBs. Just account for its natural resistance.

I’ve had good luck with Semiflex on the new “flex version” extruder (the gray one).

Well, I don’t think they have made any solid commitments at to what they will be doing, except to say that they are looking at various options.

That was my first thought when I saw it, can it handle Acetone? I’d bet if they made the Polysher out of PETG it could handle Acetone. That plastic is resistant to most anything I can find. Now, the clear part… I don’t know. But why does in have to be all clear? Make it out of stamped sheet metal and put in a small glass window with interior lighting.

I was looking for some STLs I might print off for the June Maker Faire and didn’t want the usual Star Wars stuff or vases or whatever. I found this site which has some pretty cool stuff if you’re into Space. Most of the files are surprisingly compact, too. If you’re wondering why I chose a Space theme, one of my inventions is a wrist light I call…[Read more]
