Hi All,
Hopefully someone will be able to point me in the right direction with a problem I have just encountered with a new machine rather than me opening a support ticket.
I am just setting up a new machine and inserted the filament from the spool (yes it was into socket ‘1’ 🙂 ) however when I inserted it there was no ‘pull’ by the machine. I then went on to try a test print but the Robox is saying ‘insert filament’. Having checked the filament was in the right hole I then thought I would simply extract the filament, however AM is saying no filament is inserted so I am unable to extract the filament via computer.
I have tried pushing the filament gently but the filament will not budge, so I tried pulling gently but again the filament will not budge.
Any ideas on how to extract the filament or get the Robox to ‘pull’ the filament into place?
Thought I would try here first as I can imagine that Support is quite busy after the weekend, any help much appreciated. :o)

I have just tried telling Robox to clear the nozzles (thought it wouldn’t harm), to my surprise a pink filament was extruded (stange as I had polar white on, probably from where the machine was factory tested), but when I had done this the button to extract the filament was lit up so I extracted and reloaded the filament and ‘Hey Presto’ the filament loaded and it is printing now! 🙂
04/06/2016 at 3:58 am #30370The pink was probably from a mouse getting inside your machine and trapped in the extruder. Its blood and guts obviously mixed with the white filament. It happens a LOT. Try placing pieces of cheese around your printer to distract the little buggers from going inside. Alternatively, place a saucer of whiskey beside the machine with the hope they get drunk and pass out before fouling your extruder. Be advised though, you may have to endure a couple hours of tiny singing, laughter and stupid cat jokes before they succumb.
Hope that helps.
