All materials use the same eject temperature. The goal is not to melt the filament, which will create strings during eject, but to soften it enough to break cleanly so that no strings are left. 140C seems to work pretty well. @fgroeli The idea has been thrown around but I don’t know its current status. I know that it can’t use needle valves at this time so that may be part of the holdup. The current head temperature limit is set by the seals on the needle valves.

@fgroeli The heatup process has been optimized for best safety. The bed needs to heat first because it takes longer and if the head is kept at temperature without filament flowing it will be damaged.
