    Hi,

in version 1.01.01 there is a new function called ‘Remove head’. But I think in the current version it is not very helpful.
If I click on the circled ‘Remove head’ button the printbed is moving into the back of the Robox and the head is positioned in the middle of the robox in some height. It seems this is all the function is doing.
I thought it will also heat up the head but it does’nt.
If the printbed is in the back of the Robox I cannot open the cover of the Robox to take the head out. :-(
And if the head / nozzles are not heated up I cannot remove the head from the carriage because filament is still inside the head and keeps the head from taking away. :-(

My question now: what is this function for?

“My question now: what is this function for?” to move head to the convenient location so it can be moved after you have manually ejected filament and opened door beforehand…

And, yes, I agree with you - AM could be smarter and do automatic filament ejection if it wasn’t already and move bed to the front to allow door to be open if it wasn’t already…

@click i would prefer though that my filament is not ejected because then i could actually check for extruder slipping and extruder strength by holding the filament at where the head is supposed to be

In the next AM release this button should eject filament and unlock the door as well.
