I bought my machine at the end of November and have been really impressed with it. I’ve been 3D printing for a couple of years, working with Da Vinci and Zortrax printers. The CEL-Robox does so many things right: the packaging is good, it is really easy to use and up until now, it has been reliable.
However, I am experiencing a problem that I cannot find a way of clearing. I start a print and a few hours later, the system stops with this error:
FIRMWARE: SD CARD ERROR
Disconnect your machine from USB and AC power. Check that your SD card is present and seated correctly.
I follow the instructions. The error clears and the printer allows me to start a new print. A few hours later, back to the same fault.
I have not been able to complete a single print since this fault started.
Any suggestions on what I should try next?
January 4, 2017 at 2:51 pm #35618@michaelboxwell Your next step should be to open a support ticket as if you continue to use the printer with this problem you may destroy the mainboard. There is a problem with the SD card or with the SD card reader and if not corrected it will destroy the mainboard very quickly.
I operate two Betas and four Production Robox.

www.hudsondesignlabs.comJanuary 12, 2017 at 11:24 am #35895ok. Thank you for that. I was under the impression that these forums were the support ticket system. I have now raised a support ticket and look forward to receiving a response.
January 12, 2017 at 11:45 am #35896We do provide some support here but for a lot of hardware issues it is best to have specific advice, in some cases there is history with a machine which changes that advice. If we get a lot of hardware fixes on this public forum it can cause problems where people mistakenly diagnose their problem and try to use the advice they find here to fix problems without our support. We decided it was better to try and keep fixes which require disassembly within the dedicated support system. Link in my signature if anyone needs it.
