I have an empty PLA spool. I want to load it with t-glass. I have followed the directions and there is no longer an option to save to spool. I am currently printing with Taulman nylon and t-glass. I would rather use a spool that is installed in the printer than a spool on a stand outside of the printer. Is the programming option coming back.

@henry Have you tried with Advanced Mode enabled? I think that since this is a custom profile, you may need Advanced Mode enabled.

You may also have an issue with the spool being recognized or a version incompatibility. The spool version is printed in the PCB inside the hub of the spool. What version is your spool?

Using advanced mode. I needed to go to advanced mode to get profiles for both t glass and bridge nylon. The spool version is Rev94v-0. Robox recognizes the spool but recognizes it as PLA white and does not give me an option to change the profile.

@henry The problem is resolved for me by restarting AutoMaker. It sounds like there is a bug in AutoMaker. I will report it to CEL but since it is easily resolved, it won’t be a high priority. Please let me know if this doesn’t work for you and I will look into it further.

I have tried restarting Automaker. I tried restarting the computer. I tried starting with the spool installed. i tried putting the spool in after setting up the filament. The write to filament remains unlit. I am doing something wrong but i have a work a round. If a bug ticket is in to the programmers i can wait for the next update.

    Thanks for the help.

@henry Thanks for spotting this, there does seem to be an issue with writing custom profiles to reels - it’s a reported bug and will be fixed in the next release.
