Hi, I don’t want to damage anything by being to forceful, but how do you remove the clips to remove the bed?
Thanks
September 23, 2014 at 2:44 pm #6482The user manual page 41 has the bed installation and removal instructions. It looks like you just slide the small tab on the front of the bed to one side and lift the bed out.

December 12, 2014 at 9:57 pm #11520Hello gents. I’m hoping you can help me out on this one. I don’t appear to have the tab that is illustrated in the manual. I need to calibrate the nozzle height and will be unable to until I remove the bed. I took a photo of my PEI bed. Any advice?

December 12, 2014 at 10:24 pm #11524As you can imagine, the PEI panel will warp up in the middle. The sides are hold down by clips but PEI board receives the force toward the center.
There will be space between PEI and bed. Press the center of Pei and you can feel. So CEL changed the design of bed with new clip.

December 14, 2014 at 9:27 pm #11627@clicky sometime yoiu need to remove it to remove a print. i have been printing with tglaze over the weekend and the best way of getting prints off is removing the bed and giving it a slight bend as even once cooled tglaze doesn’t like to come off.
you also need to remove it when you do a nozzle height calibration,
December 14, 2014 at 9:42 pm #11629I never printed anything else but PLA or ABS and both come off without issue when the bed cools down. Also, nozzle calibration is done once (and even then it doesn’t really work well - so I ended up ‘fine tuning’ it manually). And when it is done - removing bed can, kind of, ruin it…
