    Bill Roy @billbo
I have several commercial Robox units

I just sent in a support ticket so this is more a case of seeing if anyone has any bright ideas that can easily rectify this before the slaves ( 🙂 ) get back into work on Monday.

I switched on my Robox this morning and got a message in AM that an update was available (1.03.02), needless to say I chose to install it. The update downloads OK but when I tried installing it I get the following message:

Error copying file from packed archive
    C:/PROGRA~1/CEL/AUTOMA~3.EXE to C:/Program
    Files/CEL/Automaker/java/bin/java.dll
I tried twice to install it without success, so decided to go ahead printing with the old AM and therefore clicked on AM again and chose to carry on with the old 1.03.00 AM. Now though I am getting a message that the Robox is not connected and then it says there is ‘No Head Installed’! 🙁
Anyone have any ideas please? (As I say this is just a quick call out for help as I am sure I will hear from Tech support on Monday. 🙂 )

    BHudson @bhudson
I have both RoboxDual and other Robox versions
    Arizona, USA

@billbo I would do a clean install and use a new download of 2.00.01.

If you have custom profiles or filaments, you will want to rename the CEL Robox directory instead of deleting it or move your custom filaments/profiles elsewhere.

Then try again. If you still have issues, I have a saved copy of what should be 1.03 you can go back to with another clean install.

I operate two Betas and four Production Robox.
I am the US/Canada Technical Support engineer for the Robox.

@bhudson - Thank you. I just SUCCESSFULLY 🙂 followed your advice. Everything is uploaded and everything is recognised correctly!

Now to try a print. 🙂

(I like the new screen layout as well.)

I really do appreciate the help, again ‘Thank You’.

    Hi BilBo

    I just logged this

    There a couple of issues

    1. unable to eject it tries makes a lot of noise then a message pops up, select the recommended option the nozzle heats up when it tries to eject the second time there is a little movement in the filament then a lot of noise it fails I get the message again and so on. However, if I run the purge routine I can then eject the filament with no problem.
    2. A while after my 3rd print the print-head became missing I was unable to get it back by switching it off and on, I left it off over night. Next day it was still missing I tried to eject the filament but had the same problem as above I tried a purge that didn’t work nozzle temp would not go above 26 degrees. Then I got a Nozzle Control Error but I couldn’t remove the filament!!! I tried the remove head option that didn’t work, then I tried a purge i worked. ejected the filament put it back in and it is now printing.
