Could they not try a Teflon or other non stick type of surface on the inside of the bowden tube? then the “pushed rope” would not stick and hopefully slide to where we would want it.

Hi @garrett777 had my printer for a few weeks now had a little problem with print bed not being flat enough but that was sorted out by CEL and i now have a replacement, i am happy with the build quality of the printer, it is fairly robust and proper maintenance should mean it will last a good few years.
As for print quality i have only had a…[Read more]

Hi all thank you for all of your suggestions, over the last 4 days i have worked my way through all of them including the link that @clicky put up and have come to the conclusion that i need a new pei board as mine is twisted /bowed and no matter what i do i cannot get it any where near good enough to print on with the exception of a lil patch in…[Read more]

Well tried all of that with the exception of taking off the pei board and getting it flat. i did flip it over because the middle was bowing upwards ( spotted that one before my first print) so you would have though that the sides would both be high but when i print the right side is to low and the nozzle drops the filament on to the plate in stead…[Read more]

Hi all bit of a problem here, got me printer did all the calibrations and tests everything looked good, but nothing will stick to the build plate. noticed there was a bulge in the middle so flipped it over, still no joy.
So cleaned the plate with supplied wipes, redid the calibrations let the build environment get to the right temp and had another…[Read more] -

Not got my printer yet, but i was wondering if anybody has tried Zbrush. by putting in model and using dynamesh to create a perfect shell without hidden geometry, decimating it with decimation master and then using Zbrush stl export. If anybody has access to Zbrush could you please try it and see if its a better alternative?

Hi all lil update, Pyropetepete has kindly given me the detail of the expected UK dates for shipment 2 of 23 of October.

ned death replied to the topic 2nd shipment? in the forum Chatter 2 months, 4 weeks ago
No i was not asking for details about my particular printer just some information about the 2nd shipment, that my printer is part of.
I only made the point that none of the 2nd shipment people had had any emails about delays, and that you had had 2 months to do so.
thanks Pyropetepete for the understanding comment.

@Jeremy VW Yeah not a lot of info forthcoming about this.
Considering a week after i purchased mine they were advertising shipment 3 coming in December, now me thinks they must have know that shipment 2 was not going to be in September.
So a definite lack of information coming from CEL on this.
So CEL could you please give us some info on non…[Read more]

Great thread Gid, was thinking that we needed something like this, was going to start it my self but though it was pointless until i had my printer and somethings to add to the thread.
Might i add that you need to keep it to the production models or beta models that have been upgraded to production versions or it might get a bit confusing.

I like your thinking with regards to not creating more work for the peeps at CEL, To be honest im not sure i would have been that thoughtful, but i am a bit of an impatient git.
Had a thought about your er quirks on the machine you have and looking at the 2nd picture again was thinking that there is rather a lot of material there on the stringy…[Read more]

Any way of looking and seeing if the connectors for the ribbon cable are secure and well soldered.
Yes the bed level problems would account for some things that you have going ton there, but not the stringing in the 2nd pic and not the flow or heating problem.
This just screams to me of dud intermittent connections. Mum had a Metro car and at…[Read more]
