Indeed, a biweekly or even monthly update by mail to the people who ordered the DM head would have been nice, after the initial delay. Wouldnt have been much effort, I reckon. But an update atm will be appreciated.

How are you fairing with the dual head? I’m still interested in the dual color frog. Did you get it to print or at least process with the latest automaker? It seems like the litmus test for dual color printing. (And yes, I know the head is best for dual material support printing, but still.. 🙂

I did the same thing. After 2 years it still looked as new. (only a bit dirtier). nothing degraded.

When I read up on the degradability of PLA I found that it degrates at higher temperatures. No degradation below 60’C.

Did you get any further with the dual color frog? Or at least get feedback from Cel on the exact limitations of Automaker at this version? I would be very interested to see how that one would come out.

I fully agree a 20x20x20 volume would be nice. Hopefully it is on the list as improvements for the Robox2.

But I also agree with the above posters: I only once ran into the size limitation as a serious downside. And I like the compactness of this Robox.

I’m also installing under ubuntu (15.10) First attempt failed since I started Automaker as a user and not as root.

In principle not a problem, but there was no clear error. The download of the update just failed mysteriously. Please add some detection somewhere and provide a useful error message.

Wow. Inspriation for after we move in our new place. wonder how it would look in copper colour.

In the mean time, does anyone have some dual material prints to show off?

I’m still awaiting my DM head, as I am in the second batch. But any pictures of dual color or dual material prints would be appreciated!

Good to hear the news. At least we know what to expect. And hopefully the 2nd batch has been improved with new insights from the first batch, so we can skip some of the problems.
