Ok, got my printer on Wednesday and I’m loving it so far, hardware looks great, some over extrusion, but I think this may just be the filament settings.

I managed to do the necessary calibrations, Took me a little while finding the advanced menu, it’s accessed from what appeared at first to be a simple panel resize splitter which seemed a bit odd and not very intuitive.

One issue I have noticed though that concerns me is that the door does not always open, often it just stays locked, I can see that the black clip handle that secures the PEI bed at the front of the bed housing hits the frame when it slides forward which pushes it back and then the switch is not depressed by the bed, is this unique to my printer or is it something others are experiencing. I did think about just removing the black handle as the metal clip entering does appear to clear the from frame.

Any info greatly appreciated, don’t want to raise a ticket for something thats already known about.

It should open by itself when the bed is moved all the way to the front.

If it doesn’t you can always use a credit card and slide it in to release the latch.

I think it set-up now to wait for the bed to cool before it fully slides forward and opens.

Thanks for the info guys, its much appreciated, though it looks like I may have a problem after all :( , the bed for certain wont move all the way forward as the clip handle is too low to clear the front lip. I opened it with the tool I have for removing parts from the bed ( a cricut spatula ) but this is not a long term solution, I’ll see if I can tweak the handle upwards a little so it does not hit the frame.

@amuse, nice thinking sometimes the best designs are the simple ones.
