Hello,

is it possible to have a support for the second reel (for the dual material head), that allows the reading of the parameters of the reel, the same way of the reel inside Robox?

Does the electronic board as the necessary connections?

Can the support be a extension of the Robox, fitting in the left side?

Hi Magelan, I asked a similar question during the kickstarter, I believe that at the moment the data stored in the EEPROM needs to be manually entered when using a second reel. But I agree with you that having some sort of remote connected EEPROM reader would be a great addition to the dual head kit.

Hi guys,

we havent finalised the system yet.

The simple method can be like this example:
Reel1 = support material
Reel2 = build material

Load Reel1 into the printer in the normal position
Save the material profile to file.
Remove Reel1 and load Reel2 in the normal position inserting the filament into extruder1
Place Reel1 on the external holder and feed it into extruder2, tell the software to use the saved profile from earlier for extruder2.
