Thanks for the link Ed , I did not know that printer .

Apart the scanning function , the concept , similar to a record turntable is interesting, but it involves you have to write your own software, so long term support is crucial and it will be interesting to see if this solution is proper for filament deposition too.

About scanning function , it can be interesting if you have space problems or if it is really cheap compared to a stand alone solution , it should since the most part of hardware is already there.
