Ok, problem with new AM release?

I’ve printed half a reel of CEL Black with almost no issues once calibrated. Good News.

Band news is after the update I get 4-5 layers into a new print and get the “Slippage Error” popup warning. I ignore. Continue and then the grinding noises begin. Now cannot even remove the filament & reel.

also where did my Temp Controls go? Head, Bed and Ambient are no longer manually adjustable?

The dang graph is so small you can’t see anything useful.

Going to go do some draft, normal and fine prints I did BEFORE the latest AM release and compare.

Got the same slippage error 1st time I tried the new AM release….right in the middle of the prints.

 

From many models units I have tested, printed and worked with this is a consistent theme with any FFD machines.

Nothing prints at the edge of the highest resolutions in dual heads/materials and does it right, every print, every time much less out of the box.

Midnight Black (CEL) PLA and no issues. Damn things stick like glue until cool. You have adequate bottom fill and warm bed? Check and test at warmer settings a or set a fan speed for first X layers in AM.

Resolution will vary with you success at the head settings and minimization of variability with these units and materials. Not only do we see software issues both with the open source slic3r and the Proprietary AutoMaker but we also see some issues with print bed warping, excessive head movements or slippage in the x/y belts. I had to “replace” my head unit for errors to go away. CEL offer the online ‘solution’ that trims some plastic and loosens some of the screws that work the B-axis motors.
