My Robox is a Blue Commercial Version

    Hello all,

Just received my Robot the other day and playing with it. I am impressed with many features, and not as much with others (locking the chamber for too long!)

I have noticed that the printer is happy to start a print with a large 1st layer surface area, but I find the smaller 1st layer jobs (where it’s jumping about, causes it to become a mess)

Has anyone got any good tips for starting a job with loads of fiddly bits to begin. I’ve been trying to print this little guy, but no luck!

    Any help is appreciated,

    Many thanks

    David

It is definitively worth going through setup wizards here: http://roboxing.com/wizards

Also, if small surface objects do peel off after a while of a print it is worth adding/increasing ‘brim’

Thank You, What are your thoughts on a later firmware release, allowing you to create a supporting platform to start the print? Unless this is already possible?

If you think of raft then you should check this forum - there is at least one or two topic about it. In nutshell - you can do it by creating custom profile, finding the file profile is in and setting up raft parameters for Slic3r…
