Hi everyone…real excited to get my robox but it won’t update the firmware through the automaker prompts. It seems I was shipped a unit with Beta software. Any suggestions on how to get this thing updated? Thanks!

@molardog this is very strange. It is unlikely to be a software problem as we have tested with a lot of old and strange software/firmware combinations.

Some suggestions below, the firmware is written to the microSD card before being loaded to the firmware chip, it is likely there is a problem with your card:

    1. Power off the printer and unplug the USB. Remove the cover on the rear which hides the microSD card, it is marked FLASH. Press the card in a little and it will pop out. Check it for debris, damage or corrosion and push it back in. It should lock in place. Replace the cover and plug it all back in. Test.
    2. If the above doesn’t work you may need a replacement microSD card. Nearly and type is ok, if you put it into Robox you will lose the data on the card. If you create a support ticket using the link in my sig you can get a replacement card from us, it doesn’t need any software on it as Robox will write to it once it starts up.

Thanks for the help guys…since I bought from amazon I just opted to send it back with a replacement coming in tomorrow. I was a little suspicious of the unit upon unboxing when I saw the shipping block laying loose in the bottom of the chamber instead of fastend against the print head as if it had been handled roughly or previously returned. Probably not related to the issue, but not very confidence inspiring. Hopefully the new one will work right out of the box. Thanks again!
