If I don’t have anything else that needs to print that is taller than a fine peak of a model, I’ve made up a batch of cylinders of various heights that I can add to the print bed. I’ve used them a few times now, and they seem to help. The bottom of the cylinder is solid, 2mm thick. The wall is 1mm thick.

So has the issue with blobbing on fine, detailed peaks of Robox prints already been discussed on this board? If so, where?

I ran into the very same problem, and also found placing a taller object next into the layout to be the work-around (see before and after images below).

It would be interesting to know if CEL has acknowledged this problem already and can tell us whether a permanent fix is in the pipeline.

Lots of changes in AM2.00.00 which need tuning, we are working through some problems which have removed some control or reacted incorrectly when printing small things, this is related the the short layer time slow down as well.

It is in the priority list.

@dr-woo I chose the cylinder so as to not use up much plastic in service of my goals. ABS and PLA both adhere well (now that I’ve made the bottom solid).
