My Robox is a Blue Commercial Version

    Hello !

Pyramids. Ah well, I did that as a very first test. Yeah, but the pharaoh in me was somewhat bored.

So I attempted to print something more difficult. And friendly, since, as they say, it is magic (and no, that my 5-year-old niece is fan of a certain cartoon has nothing to do with my choice :p).

Overall, I’m satisfied with it as a first attempt. I used the “Fine” settings for this. The only pain with that model was removing the excess plastic - it was at places way too thick.

Any idea on what fine-tuning I can try to improve the printing quality further?

I played with the nozzle offsets a little and lowered the multiplier a little and managed to print these with green ABS on fine. Probably the nicest prints I got to date. There’s still some room for improvement on the first few layers though.

@lauwenmark those look really good. The new version of AutoMaker v1.01.00 will be out in a few days and greatly improves support by giving you the option of using a different slicing engine. The current engine by http://www.slic3r.org is causing the first layer of a bridge to sag which makes it combine with the support. We expect this will improve soon but the new engine Cura will be able to give you great results with a lot of models.

@dmullerdesign Nice tips, I’ll try to toy with those parameters and see if I can manage to get better results.

@pete Nice to know, can’t wait for it to be available. Right now, I’m trying to find the best combination to reduce the “banding” effect (any advice?). And definitely, better bridging support would be more than welcome.
