Hello,
My material tube, that goes from the start of the print chamber to the print head got undone at the start of the print chamber. I didn’t realize until the print was completely finished. So there was material everywhere and the print failed obviously. You can see the pictures, it explains better.
I tried to plug back in the plastic tube and purge the material, but that failed quickly. It got undone again.
I don’t know what to do
Thanks for any advice.
Sam

The other way to deal with it is to trim about 1/4 inch from your Bowden tube and re-insert it into the fitting. I have found that there are two different ways to install the Bowden tube into the fitting:
1. Insert the tube into the fitting and use a small screwdriver to pry the collar on the fitting out until it stops. This should lock the Bowden tube into the fitting.
2. Push the Bowden tube into the fitting until it clicks twice. This is what I do on mine and I have not been able to get the tube out of the fitting since. I just unscrew the fitting. It takes quite a lot of force, about the limit of my hand strength, to get the second click.
The third option is to request a Bowden tube upgrade from CEL. It isn’t hard to install and CEL provided instructions that are pretty clear.

I do not have the beta unit. I have the cheapest kickstarter unit. Do your recommendations still apply? Should I still ask CEL for the new bowden tube?

27/01/2015 at 8:52 pm #14595@sam-n-johnstongmail-com Yes, I think you should ask for a new Bowden tube assembly. Try to trim and re-insert the old one first; it may hold. Then ask for a replacement. I don’t see why they wouldn’t give you one.
