I just got the update for automaker yesterday. Since the update if I have the gopro timelapse feature running automaker fails to complete a slice. I Start a print, its starts to warm the bed while slicing then it will error and says start a support ticket. It doesn’t seem to matter how big or small the model is. If I uncheck the time lapse feature then all is good again. Tried 2 different computers with the same result. Is anyone else having this problem? Oh and the feature was working for me before the update. Is there some sort of log I can pull to see what is causing the error?

hmm it sliced for me. tried with 2 models, a tooth from a recent forum post and a massive high detail turtle (print time said 132 hours with my superfine settings and the trigger delays 🙂 )

my gopro is at home so i cant test if it actually triggers but it sliced and started printing ok and paused between layers for each capture with both files on custom and fine settings.

Log files can be found using the instructions here

I will try to do a clean install tonight and see if that works. it didn’t seem to matter if the gopro was up and running or not. I don’t think the software can actually tell if there is a gopro to trigger or not. thanks for the reply!

I had similar issues with no GoPro. Clean install fixed me printing issues. I could not even purge without it failing.

Pete i think you just provided the answer. The most requested feature is a pause on layer. With Root running on Raspberry Pi A simple app on the pi can count gopro triggers. At the right count the app can send a pause code to the Robox. Should be an app that one of the users can develop. Does not need to be part of AM.

    go for it. 🙂

The gopro pause adds a few seconds to every layer though, it really slows things down.

I think it would be better to edit gcode to add your pause. If you were to create an app you could get it to read the gcode comments and find the layer you want then add pause code, probably quite simple for anyone who has programming ability.
