A new KS project claiming to work on most 3D printers…
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/structur3d/discov3ry-extruder-do-more-than-ever-with-your-3d
It’s not what I want from a 3D printer, but why not if it’s possible…
11/06/2014 at 1:02 pm #3431I think “most” does not include robox due to it’s non-standard head mounting system,
although I’m guessing here, and looking to the beta’s who have other 3D printers on their desk.java (EE), JavaFX, HTML, GIS) programmer, database wizard, framework inventor, looking for a job ! http://roboxing.com/wizards11/06/2014 at 9:01 pm #3457I disagree. Part of the Robox philosophy is to have an easily replaceable head. From the videos that I’ve seen it looks much, much easier to remove the Robox head than my Ultimaker ! unit.
OK an adapter plate would be needed, but swapping from the standard Robox head to the paste one and back again would then be a doddle.12/06/2014 at 6:17 am #3495ok, an adaptor plate would do it, I agree.
@Pete, is such an adaptor to a standard head mounting system an option for CEL ?
Leaves the storage of the printing material, it’s not an open box where you can mount things on or put next to it on a rack.java (EE), JavaFX, HTML, GIS) programmer, database wizard, framework inventor, looking for a job ! http://roboxing.com/wizards20/06/2014 at 5:22 pm #3928This would definitely be a good feature indeed, simple enough, you’d have a head mount with a peristaltic pump instead, still can use the innovative needle valve Robox designed.
Darn, I might actually do it myself for the kick, simple enough design, no changes to X,Y and Z axis (facepalm)..:: I'm possible ::.. :: http://roboxing.com21/06/2014 at 8:31 am #3938@Olivier maybe first you can design and print the head mount with the Robox

I might even be interested. I would like to ‘print’ chocolate or suger roses.21/06/2014 at 4:08 pm #3946The basic concept design is done, I’ll post up when prototype is ready, after Robox arrived.
