When tried to replace the head, AM heated up the head that was attached (S2) to 140ºC even though there was no material in. Then when it reached temperature it moved extruder for half a second and stopped.

Why? It was quite inconvenient to wait another 5 minutes for it to heat up and then cool down even though I have ejected material before…

I have both RoboxDual and other Robox versions

@click This is normal. The functions that do these actions are prewritten and there isn’t a way to check for material being present or not.

I operate two Betas and four Production Robox.

As you say so. To me, knowing that AM and Robox do check presence of material it seems like a big oversight or just a bug. But no point arguing.

    Hi,

I also think that the printer should know when material is loaded or not. At least I would highly recommend this function and request it be added. Not only is it a positive confirmation to the user (especially if two materials are used), but then it should also be information used by the printer (I would add it to the material display window on the left - “Material loaded” in green for example). For example for purge functions or the like, messages which say “load material 2” or similar become redundant or are superfluous.

    Thanks,

    Florentin
