I’ve been using Slic3r 1.2.1. What placement issues are you referring to? I did have some issues with the two nozzles not being perfectly aligned in X-direction (even with the bundled version of Slic3r). But I got that sorted out by modifying the calibration settings.

Few things you could do.

Replace the bundled Slic3r with the latest version.

top_solid_infill_speed = 23

@Clicky Out of respect to CEL I’m not interested in starting to collaborate on their reverse-engineered code. Also, it’d be illegal. It’s one thing to mess around with application binaries by oneself for study purposes but sharing the work is another thing entirely.

Out of old habit I’ve been using Repetier-Host (I’ve been using it as the host app with my other 3D-printer). It’s perhaps not the most accurate of apps in visualising GCODE but gets the job done.

I got fed up with the lack of GCODE preview in AutoMaker so I whipped up a quick’n’dirty (OS X) tool that might be of use to someone else as well. I had the same issue. My nozzles are calibrated and perfectly levelled. My uneducated guess would be that this has to do with greater volume/width of filament coming through the 0,8mm nozzle. I adjusted the 0,8mm nozzle X-offset a little bit (to -6,96mm) and now everything’s working very well.
