I started print before i went bed, in about layer 60 it have stopped with slippage error.
Now when i resume and set speed to 1,5 it slowly drops to 0,5 and eventually pauses without error.
Rastarting AM didnt help so i dont have other options than stop print coz i dont want to sit here and keep speed slider at 1,5 for 7hrs
03/04/2015 at 8:50 am #17228Hello @poju,
when slip is detected, the Robox (AM) will first try to slow down print speed, hoping that will fix the slip (e.g. maybe it was due to a very viscous filament extruded at a too low temperature, etc..).
But if it’s due to Extruder problems (or Head clog/blockage), this will only help for a bit, but even at 0.5 speed you will then get slippage back.
I’m afraid that your problem won’t go away by itself by just “turning it off and on”, you have to understand if it’s the Extruder that is weak (delrin gear worn, springs tension insufficient or whatever), or the nozzle clogged (it happens quite easily on 0.3mm ones), or maybe the Head power cable not perfectly connected (how was your head temperature graph, perfectly flat?) which causes undertemperatures and thus high viscosity and the Extruder can’t just feed it anymore.
In my case a new Extruder fixed it. I’ve had every sort of problems, but now I’ve printed like 20+ hours without flaws.
Sure I have to conclude that 3D printing is not a plug ‘n’ play process nor something for the ones untechnical and lacking knowledge and experience in the field: you need to have a deep understanding of the machine to diagnose all possible causes and find solutions. Sometimes (manufacturing flaws, head seal blown, etc..) this is not enough and you can only open a Ticket.
Yes, I know it’s very frustrating.

Fabio03/04/2015 at 9:10 am #17229Thx, purge helped , had to push filament by hands, i think it was stuck in tube.
I notised when i tryed clean nozzle thing that temp went up, but when it reached reguired point it started to drop. Is it suppose to be like that?
03/04/2015 at 9:32 am #17231You mean you did a manual purge? That often helps.
About your other question, I don’t think the temperature varies, I couldn’t do a test but a look at the macro confirmed this.
To be 100% sure, next time you attempt a print make sure you watch the temperature graph: nozzle temp must change only between layer 1 and the following layer, then it must remain constant. If it doesn’t then I’d check the power cable, both at the Robox side and - nonetheless - behind the Head (at the cartridge). Make sure it’s ALL way in, 100% inserted, that should cure the temp variations (which will cause viscosity variations as well).
Another thing to pay attention to is if when you did the manual purge it was really hard to push the filament (and you confirmed this) but then it returned normal. This would indicate that the nozzle was partially clogged, but now it’s clean. It’s quite easy on such a small (0.3mm) nozzle. Clearly, when it’s partially clogged, the Extruder will have a hard time to push the filament in, as it will try to maintain the correct flow. This will cause it to slip.
There are many other possibly problems, but the more one can fix by himself, the better.
03/04/2015 at 5:54 pm #17243I did regular purge, i just helped filament at reel end

And my temps are steady, only whe i tryed that clean nozzle it did drop with both nozzles. Temp rised up and started dropping right after. This only happens in that clean nozzle thing.
07/04/2015 at 4:09 pm #17317I’ve noticed that drop to 50% of speed myself - but it had nothing to do with an error. I stopped print at some point (can’t remember why) and it never returned to normal speed (it was at 100% - not 150%) - printer continued at 50% of normal speed until end (or I just stopped it realising that last 2-3h would took well into the evening (now 4-6h) and I had to stop it…
