..any updates of metal printed gears?
19/02/2015 at 9:27 pm #15719I’m interested / I’d wish to get one too. Thank you.
20/02/2015 at 10:40 am #15726I have received mine from Shpaeways and the details are pretty good, I will upload the picture tonight. I have not tested it though, all of the printed plastic models i tried did not work as they get stuck and I have to find out why. I have tried the entire range of tension on the screws while assembling it but no good results so far. In the meanwhile I have a new extruder from CEL and that one works ok so far, have around 50 hours or so of print time already and its still holding. I will do a test maybe next week for you guys with the metallic gear and I will let you know about the results.
Cheers!
20/02/2015 at 4:48 pm #15745Great! How much did the part cost?
21/02/2015 at 3:44 am #15772Do take not though that I did upload the sldpart(solidworks) file if you guys need to edit the dimension and such.
21/02/2015 at 3:53 am #15773I (and I think many of us) don’t have SolidWorks.
I was tempted to buy it (the 400 EUR one, not the 8000 EUR one
) but I can’t stand that versions can’t open next years files, etc.. I’m even writing my own CAD and slicer anyway.21/02/2015 at 3:58 am #15774What format should I save it as so that the majority could edit?
21/02/2015 at 4:09 am #15775I don’t know, personally I prefer/use mostly CSG type CADs, i.e. OpenSCAD and FreeCAD.
23/02/2015 at 9:18 am #15830Hey there, the part was 8 dollars plus shipping. Sorry I did not upload the photo, was pretty busy. Will do it tonight.
