    Hi all 🙂

Very pleased with how this came out in the end. After we had a new boiler fitted a few months ago the old plastic housing that boxed in and hid the pipes was no longer the correct size so we binned it. This left us with the awful sight shown in the attached ‘before’ image.

I couldn’t for the life of me find a stockist of different shape plastic extrusions that would allow me to make a right-angle ‘box’ by pushing 3mm foamex white board into slots in the extrusion … if you catch my drift …

… so I designed one myself! As the Robox can only print 100mm high parts, I printed 5 of them and glued them together using thin superglue. I then used an orbital sander to remove the ridged finish to the 3D printed parts and finally sprayed the whole part white.

The joints are still very slightly visible, but not when the part is in situ …

    I love my Robox! 😀

PS. Also at normal standing height you can’t see under the boiler so you don’t see the rest of the exposed pipework.

I have both RoboxDual and other Robox versions

Looks really good. Are you planning to or have you already made a support for the lower edge from the inside? Or will it just be free standing?

    Thanks for the feedback! 🙂

It’s currently free-standing and it doesn’t really seem to need any other kind of support … I was thinking of making it slot into a support bracket that would stop it falling over, but it really doesn’t need it.

    Cheers!

    David 🙂
