I think we can all understand their business model….
22/05/2014 at 9:35 am #2823Did you find any info on how much filament one cartridge contains? I could imagine that it is significantly more than on a Robox reel, due to the really large size of the Cube Pro.
22/05/2014 at 10:07 am #2827From some cubify user blog for the smaller printers:
“Empty” cartridge: 367 grams.
New cartridge, still in foil: 687 grams.
Difference between them: 320 grams!Though they point out that Cubify prints more than most as it uses minimal amounts of material thanks to their own software. As the price is half that of the Pro cartridges, I’d guess they’re double in size? So maybe near 650g?
22/05/2014 at 10:08 am #2828I would like to choose myself how much, how thick, etc … the print result will be.
Can we do that with the Robox by the way ?Pelgrim, strong supporter of Roboxing Wizards (http://roboxing.com/wizards) java (EE), JavaFX, HTML, GIS) programmer, database wizard, framework inventor, looking for a job !22/05/2014 at 10:20 am #2830Slic3r (which Robox uses) lets you specify the number of shells (i.e. wall thickness) as well as the fill percentage between walls, so yes.
