My youngest is now getting pocket money and needed a piggy bank, so I decided to print him one. I found a few designs on Thingiverse and he decided on this Bulbasaur one. Just for the hell of it (and after watching a youtube video on it recently) I thought I’d try it first in spiral print mode. It turned out better than I expected given the inherent unsuitability of the design, and it also made me realise that after scaling the design (to 75%) to fit the build volume the coin slot and hole were too small. I modified it slightly and printed it out again in draft profile with a good result. Filament is colorFabb nGen in dark green.
Is the second (final) print spiral as well?
No, it’s just draft mode, no raft or supports.
