Walked into this again this morning…….Arrggggggggghhhhhhh.
Its only been happening since the new release of automaker. the parts are being shaken off the bed by the violent movements of the bed.
I’ve checked nothing is snagging them its just the violent bashing back and forward.
I’ve now rolled automaker back.
picture wont- up load - I…[Read more]

I’ve finally come to the end of my tether with the Robox.
I had another head blow seals - this time a mark two. (lasted less time than a mark one). The latest version of automaker is insisting on printing almost solid support on the fine setting (great if you have a dual material head and are using soluble support I suppose). And I was up…[Read more]

I know what you mean, but as everything ABS slides off my bed like water off a ducks back this is a 10000000% improvement on anything gone before. I’m going to try the open box torture test next.

I’ve just received and fitted the Lokbuild bed cover that I donated to on kick starter.
I thought I’d set something up to give it a bit of a workout.
This was printed in ABS with the bed turned down to 90 degrees. It handled this with ease.
I think I’m going to have to come up with a harder test for it. something more radical at a lower bed…[Read more]

Hi And welcome.
I am thinking you only have the single filament version. There is only one extruder driver in the case so pushing a second filament in slot 2 wont do anything unless you have the dual material kit fitted. (which also includes the extra reel holder). With the single material version the two nozzles on the head print the one…[Read more]

Chris replied to the topic Raft and/or First Layer Problems in the forum Technical Support 7 months, 3 weeks ago
Hi Darren
I’ve found the raft works a lot better if you turn off the solid top layers in the profile (basically set to zero)
This means the contact between the model and the raft is reduced to only point contacts on the high spots created by the criss-crossing on the raft (i hope that makes sense.) An interface gap equivalent to the layer…[Read more]

I previously abandoned using ABS due to the Warping issues and not sticking to the bed (yes it’s been sanded). I’ve been using mainly PLA and the Ngen PET with very good results on both.
I though I’d try a reel of the New Tech ABS when I saw it on the Site. Wow what a difference. No Warping, sticks to the bed nicely and releases cleanly when…[Read more]

There is a pause function that works perfectly well, Allows you to pause, take the excess material off and restart with minimal fuss. You will need to access the advanced functions to turn off the door safeties or slip a credit card under the door to unlock.

Chris replied to the topic Do I have a problem? in the forum Technical Support 9 months, 4 weeks ago
It might just be the PEI bed cover slipping. mine does it from time to time. You can bend the little metal tabs to hold it more securely (mentioned on here some where) but I’ve printed some little wedges that hold it in place as I’ve found bending the clips can give me problems with an uneven bed surface.

Chris replied to the topic What a difference a new head makes. in the forum Chatter 11 months, 2 weeks ago
Hi Alex
The instructions I had were to fit as normal and carry out a purge and a full 3 part calibration before use.
All went smoothly.

Hi Guys
I received my first Mark 2 head yesterday. I fitted it last night, Did a full calibration as instructed and this is the result.
I’ve never been able to print this model on the Robox before as whoever modelled it must have modelled the legs as separate items and then bodged it all together with only a thin section that makes up the s…[Read more]
