I have the newer bead blasted bed plate and I do clean it well before each print job with alcohol. The first layer appears to go down well. I have had it only a week so dose it have to wear in maybe?

These part go on RC drag cars so they have to be impact resistant and the stronger the better of course.

I did read about that techABS I will get some and give it a try and I have some Polymaker PC Max already so I will start playing with the setting and get it dialed in.

I am looking forward to all the possibility’s this printer will bring just takes time to get and try all the different filaments that are out there.

Ok so bad news the wings didn’t make it without a raft they will pull up every time I am sure of it. And yes they have to be ABS for the impact resistance needed in there aplacation. I have tried playing with the support density for the gear boxes and have had better results with that. I am continually amazed at the print quality of this little…[Read more]

The brim appears to have worked I am 2 hours into a 8 hour print on those wings and good so far.

I looked a Cura on the Ultamaker website and it dose have the option for a roof on support top I can tell you from having a UP BOX that it works wonderfully on the bottom side of your parts and is just as easy to pull off as the raft is so the bottom…[Read more]

Ok I did try without the raft and it was better but I loose some of the features of the part like the radius edges along the bottom. Also I noticed that it is not putting a roof on top of the support causing the printer to have to bridge the bottom of the part that requires support and leaves a terrible finish in these areas.
