My Robox is a Blue Commercial Version

Last week I visited a dutch manufacturer of 3D printers. They use a thick 0.15 mm Kapton sticker on their printbed. My printbed is a bit twisted since day one and as a result is not flat.

I decided to try if I could make a printbed for the Robox and bought a 1 mm thick aluminum sheet and used fretsaw to cut out the shape of the printbed. Then I applied the Kapton sticker to the aluminum.

On the photo you can see the printbed is not 100% flat but it is much better than the printbed that came with the robox.

Kapton has the same benefits as the original printbed. It has good adhesion and you can lift the printed model from the bed after cool down.

This is the Kapton sticker I used.

You can probably buy them at a lower price but this is thicker than normal.
