hi i tried to print this thing to test if i could print something which could screw onto something, it failed, these were the settings i used, what would you guys change? im very new at this, thank you.

15/11/2014 at 11:19 pm #9608Hi, thank you for your reply, i tried to make this, i got it from thingiverse, its a thread test, its supposed to screw in all the way but mine doesnt even go in i millimetre, it seems to me that the thread on the bolt is too chunky and seems bigger then the female tube where it is supposed to screw into… i cant seem to print anything “fine” or detailed because it’s always chunky.
the actual print turned out great i think, its just that it doesnt screw in like it should.

You must be logged in to view attached files.17/11/2014 at 5:33 pm #9739Try and run some nozzle calibrations, if the first layers are fine then don’t do the nozzle height, but you might want to try a nozzle opening calibration. You also probably don’t need a 0.99 fill amount, that’s too much I think. Printing at a higher resolution should help, because there would be less layers and it would be smoother which would help with a screw shape.
