Tom Gidden -- Bristol, UK -- New Roboxer? Check out the wiki, and add yourself to the map! http://roboxing.com/user_locations31/12/2014 at 1:43 pm #12838Please, whilst the Robox elves are on a break, could one of the existing beta testers forward on a copy of the beta software v1.1.0?
I’m desperate to produce at least one decent print before I run out of holiday time and return to work again. At the minute, I’m racking up an impressive collection of failed prints - super disheartening.
Many thanks if you can help,
Matt

take your time to read this topic and you will understand what you ask just can’t happen. And no, I also don’t have a copy, I’m just very patient and laid back about this.
java (EE), JavaFX, HTML, GIS) programmer, database wizard, framework inventor, looking for a job ! http://roboxing.com/wizards31/12/2014 at 7:39 pm #12854Likewise!
Found out you can’t trust the three default settings, a custom profile is a must.
2nd cooling settings need tweaking,
also if you break away from simple parts, chess pieces & busts & try to print something practical chances are it fails.
I found I have to manually add support structures time consuming & the surface that is broken away from the support requires finishing.
This does enable you to print parts that otherwise fail!
Also notice the so called accuracy of 20 microns is currently 0.25mm & side walls are never even there is always a step or bulge etc.
02/01/2015 at 12:21 am #12892yeah 1.01 is a lot better with cura. only downside I’ve felt is the inability to manual heat the nozzle or bed which you are able to do in the old version of am.as for bugs i can honestly say i personally haven’t stumbled upon many its behaved itself apart from when you finish a print and remove it from the job que ,and then go to add a new job when you go to enter the build platform screen the screen disappears you can still add a stl file and print but your playing guessing games as to what your print is like or doing ,but a way I’ve got round that if im doing a few prints on the trott is to just remove the print and replace it with another one

11/01/2015 at 1:04 am #13443Just letting you guys know that the new software is brilliant, much better. The lucky few of us who are supporting have fed back and CEL have listened. An update was issued the other day, seems even better now. I’m sure CEL can’t wait to full release.
